Founder communities in Latin America compared: 11 associations, hubs, clubs and meetups in Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Peru, Argentina and Uruguay.

- Buenos Aires has free options: Crecimiento offers 20 free seats each coworking day at Aleph Hub, and Startup Grind Buenos Aires asks only for symbolic donations.
- Big annual gatherings are coming up: EtMday 2026 in Santiago runs 19 to 21 November, and Punta Tech Meetup's 19th edition is on 11 January 2027 in Punta del Este.
- LAVCA reports that venture investors put USD 2.2b into early-stage rounds in Latin America in 2025, 52% of the total.
The right founder community in Latin America is usually a national one: an entrepreneurs' association for perks, training and advocacy, plus a hub, club or meetup in your city for peers at your stage. Most of these groups run in Spanish or Portuguese. Below are 11 communities across Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Peru, Argentina and Uruguay, each checked on its own pages on 28 October 2026, with what each costs and how to get in.
A note before you read on: this guide is published by Remote Builders, our own free community for founders who build companies remotely, which you can join online from anywhere in the region. It isn't in the table, because the table is for groups based in Latin America. We've left out any number we couldn't find on a community's own page.

Communities we checked and left out
We left out groups whose newest dated activity was before May 2026, accelerators and funds without an open community layer, and sites that blocked us or didn't load. We didn't find a group in Costa Rica that passed every check. If you run an active founder community in Latin America, tell us and we'll check it.
Latin America's startups in numbers
LAVCA's 2026 Trends in Tech report says venture investors put USD 2.2b into early-stage rounds in Latin America in 2025, 52% of the total and the most since 2022. It also says Mexico-based startups raised 21% more capital than the year before. An IE University Global Policy Center report counted 38 unicorns in Latin America and the Caribbean as of mid-2025. Brazil and Mexico lead, which is why they have the deepest founder scenes.
How to get value in your first month
- Join your country's association. It's the cheapest seat at the table, and some have a free tier.
- Go to the same meetup three times. By the third, people know what you're building.
- Bring one specific ask. "I need an intro to a fintech founder who has launched in Mexico" gets you somewhere.
- Plan around the big gatherings. EtMday in November and Punta Tech Week in January pull founders from across the region.
- Add an online group for between events. Our comparison of communities for remote founders covers the online options.
Common mistakes
- Treating the region as one market. A São Paulo hub won't help much with a Mexico City launch. Join where your customers are.
- Ignoring the entry rules. Cubo Itaú and EntreHouse gate by revenue, and Cubo also asks founders to hold at least 50% of the shares.
- Skipping the language check. Most groups here run in Spanish or Portuguese. EntreHouse runs in English.
- Waiting for the perfect group. If nothing fits your city, start one. Our guide to starting a founder meetup covers the first three events.
