A community and podcast for founders and operators building real companies from wherever they live. Started in Bali, for builders everywhere.
Why I'm building this
I run a software business from Bali. The hardest part of building remotely isn't the wifi or the time zones. It's that the people who get what you're doing are scattered all over the world.
You meet a great founder at a dinner, swap numbers, they fly home, and the conversation stops. I've watched it happen over and over.
Remote Builders is my attempt to keep those conversations going. A podcast so the best ones get recorded. Dinners and small circles so they keep happening. And a place for builders who've left Bali, or never been, to find each other.
If you're building something real from wherever you are, I'd love to meet you.

The people behind it
Lachlan McRitchie
Host
Co-founder of MapTrack, a SaaS business for tracking equipment and tools that he runs from Bali. Before that he worked in enterprise software at AppDynamics (part of Cisco) and Workato. Co-founder of Bali Startup & Tech, where he runs community operations and the founder dinners.
Josh Morrow

Started in Bali
Remote Builders grew out of Bali Startup & Tech, the founder community Lachlan co-founded in Canggu. Thousands of founders, engineers and operators have come through its events and chats.
Most of them eventually leave the island. They go back to Melbourne, Lisbon or Austin and keep building, usually on their own. Remote Builders is where those conversations keep going.
