Communities for SaaS founders compared by stage (2026)
Communities for SaaS founders compared by stage: price, ARR gate and format of 12 groups, free to €1,999 a year, checked on each group's own page.
Key takeaways
- SaaStock's Founder Membership is for B2B SaaS founders with annual recurring revenue between US$500K and US$100M, and costs €1,499 a year under US$1M ARR and €1,999 a year above it (checked 27 Oct 2026).
- SaasRise is for SaaS CEOs and founders with US$1M to US$100M in ARR, costs US$197 a month, and gives approved applicants a two-week free trial (checked 27 Oct 2026).
- TinySeed's SaaS Institute is a 12-month coaching and peer-group membership for founders at US$1M+ ARR, with no equity taken and pricing given only on an intro call (checked 27 Oct 2026).
- Pavilion's CEO offering is only for executives leading B2B SaaS or tech companies with US$5M to US$500M in ARR who live in or often travel to New York, San Francisco, London, Austin, Atlanta or Chicago.
- Free options exist at every stage: SaaStr's membership says it's 'Free forever', SaaStock's local chapter events say they're 'free for SaaS founders', and the ProductLed Slack community is free to join.
- Hacker News says Show HN is for 'something you've made that other people can play with', and both Hacker News and Product Hunt say you can't ask people to upvote you.
The right community for a SaaS founder depends mostly on your ARR, because the paid SaaS groups gate on it. Before revenue, free rooms such as SaaStr's membership, SaaStock's local meetups, the ProductLed Slack and a well-run Show HN give you feedback at no cost. From US$500K ARR, SaaStock's Founder Membership opens up at €1,499 a year, and from US$1M ARR, SaasRise (US$197 a month) and TinySeed's SaaS Institute put you in small peer groups with coaches. Below is a table of 12 options sorted by stage, each checked on its own page on 27 October 2026, then how to pick and the mistakes that cost founders time and money.
A note before you read on: this guide is published by Remote Builders, which is one of the communities in the table. We've described it with the same kind of facts as everyone else, and we've left out every number we couldn't find on a community's own page today.
Why most SaaS community lists don't help
Most lists you'll find mix up communities, accelerators and conferences, quote entry rules from memory, and leave out prices and dates. That matters for SaaS more than most niches, because the useful groups gate on ARR and the gate decides who's in the room.
Three examples from our checks on 27 October 2026:
- Entry rules drift. SaaStock's Founder Membership page says it's for B2B SaaS founders with annual recurring revenue between US$500K and US$100M. If you've seen a lower figure quoted elsewhere, go by its own page.
- Brands change. SaaStock's conference site at topfoundersummit.com now describes itself as "Formerly SaaStock", and SaaStock Local has been renamed AI Growth Summit Local. Lists written before that still send you to the old names.
- Programmes get listed as communities. Lunadio is a six-month programme that starts with an in-person kickoff in Bratislava, offers a €1,500 a month stipend and aims to get you to €1,000 MRR. That can be useful, but it's a selective programme with cohorts, not a community you join and dip into.
So this guide sticks to what each group says on its own page: who it's for, format, price as printed, entry rule and, where stated, the time zone of its live calls.
If you want general founder groups rather than SaaS-specific ones, our guide to communities for remote founders already covers Indie Hackers, MicroConf Connect and MicroConf Masterminds, WIP, Ramen Club, Hampton, EO, Founders Network, YC Startup School, Lounge, AI Tinkerers and Build Club. We haven't repeated them here.
SaaS founder communities compared
These are 12 options we checked on 27 October 2026, each on its own website. "Says" means the figure is the group's own claim, not something we counted. Stage tags: Pre-revenue (free or open to anyone), Revenue (bootstrapped or funded, with an ARR gate from US$500K to US$1M) and Funded B2B (built around larger, often venture-backed companies).

A few notes the table can't hold:
- Remote Builders is our own community. It says joining is "Free, and you're in straight away". Members get the members' chat, which runs in the Bali Startup & Tech Telegram group and is open to members anywhere, plus builder dinners in Bali and Australia (seats picked by hand), city chapters where a member hosts, a member directory, the perks page and the guides. It isn't SaaS-only, so it's a place to meet founders who build remotely rather than a SaaS metrics room.
- SaaStr's membership page says it's "Free forever" and gives members first access to the lowest ticket prices for SaaStr AI Annual 2027. It says 36% of its community are CEOs or founders. Its Workshop Wednesdays run live "every Wednesday at 10 AM Pacific" and are free.
- SaaStock Local has been renamed AI Growth Summit Local on the same page. It lists 18 cities, with chapter pages for Amsterdam, Dublin, Houston, Krakow, London and Paris; the rest are marked coming soon. The two cities in Asia are Chennai and Hyderabad.
- ProductLed's page says "This isn't a place for self-promotion". It also gives two different member counts (21,000+ and 15,000+), so treat either as a claim.
- Product-Led Alliance shows prices with a $ sign but doesn't name the currency. Pro works out at $42 a month billed annually, and Pro+ adds one in-person summit ticket a year. It's built for product people, so it's most useful if you or your first product hire own onboarding and activation.
- RevGenius doesn't mention founders. It's a revenue community ("We are a community of 60k revenue creators", it says, while another heading says 50k), which makes it useful when you're the one doing sales.
- SaaStock's Founder Membership places you in a Founder Circle with founders at a similar ARR, and includes an annual retreat and up to 30% off SaaStock conferences. Memberships renew automatically, and its FAQ says cancelling costs a fee equal to one month of membership.
- SaasRise says applying takes about 90 seconds and it replies by email "within 1 business day". The application asks for revenue as last month's revenue times 12.
- TinySeed SaaS Institute says "No equity, no investment". Your founder coach meets you twice a month and your mastermind group once a month, each call 60 to 90 minutes. Its private Slack has, it says, "300+ TinySeed founders, mentors, and team". Calls run on US and European time, and the FAQ says members in Australia take part.
- CEO Pavilion is for CEOs who live in or often travel to New York, San Francisco, London, Austin, Atlanta or Chicago. Pavilion's pricing page says pricing "is based on your seniority and location" and doesn't show amounts in its text.
Communities we checked and left out
We left out groups whose own page we couldn't load, that have closed or moved, or that are programmes rather than communities.
- r/SaaS: Reddit blocked our page check today, so we couldn't confirm its current rules. It's free and public.
- StartupAus: its site returned an access error today, so we couldn't confirm what membership it offers founders.
- SaaS Brasil: we couldn't find an official site for a group of that name.
- Lunadio: a selective six-month programme with an in-person kickoff, not an ongoing community (details above).
- TinySeed Accelerator: for founders below US$1M ARR, but TinySeed's homepage says accelerator applications will resume in spring 2027.
- Mogul I/O: mogul.io now redirects to ChartMogul's homepage, and we found no current join page.
- Indie Worldwide: indieworldwide.com now redirects to Ramen Club, which our remote founders guide covers.
- Product-Led Growth Collective: the plgcollective.com domain didn't resolve today.
- The Bootstrapped Founder: its site has a blog, podcast and consulting, but no founder community we could find.
- SaaS Club: the site failed a security certificate check today, so we didn't load it.
- SaaS Academy: saasacademy.com now redirects to Precision's site, which sells coaching and software, and we found no community there.
How to pick a SaaS community by stage
Pick on your ARR first, then the format you'll actually use, then the time zone of the live parts. Price comes last, because a group sized for someone else is expensive at any price.
Pre-revenue: free rooms and public launches
Before revenue, you need feedback on the problem and the product, not a mastermind. Free rooms give you that.
- Learn the playbook for free. SaaStr's membership and Workshop Wednesdays cost nothing. SaaStock Local events are free for SaaS founders if you're near a chapter city.
- Ask specific growth questions. The ProductLed Slack suits founders designing a free trial or freemium plan, and Product-Led Alliance has a free Insider tier with meetups and webinars.
- Put the product in front of strangers. Show HN and Product Hunt are where you find out if people will try it. More on their rules below.
If you're still choosing what to build, our guide to finding a micro SaaS idea covers how to test demand before you join anything.
Bootstrapped and revenue: ARR-gated peer groups
Once you have revenue, an ARR gate is what makes a group worth paying for, because everyone in your circle is working on similar problems: churn, pricing, the first sales hire.
- From US$500K ARR: SaaStock's Founder Membership at €1,499 a year, with Founder Circles and quarterly dinners. It's priced in euros.
- From US$1M ARR: SaasRise at US$197 a month, with masterminds every week, or TinySeed's SaaS Institute if you want a named coach and a small group over 12 months.
Under US$500K, most paid SaaS groups won't have you. The general bootstrapper groups in our remote founders guide take earlier founders. Tooling questions come up early too: if you're choosing how to bill international customers, see merchant of record vs Stripe.
Funded B2B: CEO councils and conferences
At US$5M ARR and up, the useful rooms get smaller and more local. CEO Pavilion puts six to eight CEOs in a council that meets every two weeks, but only for companies with US$5M to US$500M ARR and only in its six hub cities. SaasRise and SaaStock's highest tier also take larger companies, up to US$100M ARR on their own pages.
Conferences matter more at this stage, because you'll meet buyers, investors and acquirers in one place:
- SaaStr AI Annual 2027 is on 11 to 12 May 2027 at the San Mateo County Event Center in the San Francisco Bay Area.
- SaaS North is on 4 to 5 November 2026 at the Rogers Centre in Ottawa, Canada, with a regular price of $1,399 a person (the page doesn't name the currency).
- The former SaaStock conference, now at topfoundersummit.com, lists its London summit for 8 to 10 May 2027 at Old Billingsgate, plus founder meetups in European cities.
Check the time zone of the live parts
Most SaaS peer groups run on US or European hours. TinySeed's FAQ says its calls and events run on US and European time and that members in Australia take part, so expect early mornings or late nights from Asia or Australia. Slack and WhatsApp work anywhere, but the masterminds and dinners are where relationships form. To compare notes with other founders building from Bali, Australia or anywhere else, join Remote Builders (it's free).
Getting feedback on Hacker News and Product Hunt without breaking the rules
Both are free and public, and both have rules that get founders' posts flagged or ignored. Read them before you post.
Hacker News's Show HN guidelines say Show HN "is for something you've made that other people can play with". Blog posts, sign-up pages, newsletters and lists aren't Show HNs. It asks you to avoid barriers such as sign-ups, says "Don't post landing pages or fundraisers", and says asking friends to upvote or comment is "not ok". The general guidelines say "It's ok to post your own stuff part of the time, but the primary use of the site should be for curiosity."
Product Hunt's launch guide says launching is "100% free", company accounts are prohibited, and "you cannot ask people directly to upvote your product". You can ask people to visit and comment. It suggests 12:01 am Pacific Time for founders who are planning ahead.
For a SaaS, that means: have a working demo or free trial that doesn't need a sales call, be around all day to answer comments, and treat the launch as a source of feedback rather than customers.
What it costs, from free to €1,999 a year
Prices on 27 October 2026 ran from free to €1,999 a year for groups that publish them, and the bigger spend is usually the time and travel.
| Price band | Examples (checked 27 Oct 2026) |
|---|---|
| Free | Remote Builders, SaaStr membership, SaaStock Local, ProductLed, RevGenius, Product-Led Alliance Insider, Hacker News, Product Hunt |
| Under US$250 a month | SaasRise (US$197 a month), Product-Led Alliance Pro ($499 a year) |
| Annual fee | SaaStock Founder Membership (€1,499 or €1,999 a year), Product-Led Alliance Pro+ ($1,999 a year) |
| Not published | TinySeed SaaS Institute (12-month commitment), CEO Pavilion |
Check the exit terms before you pay. SaaStock's memberships renew automatically and charge a month's fee to cancel, TinySeed's Institute asks for 12 months, and SaasRise gives approved applicants a two-week trial first.
Common mistakes
The most common mistake is joining a group for the brand name before you meet its ARR gate, then finding you're the smallest company in every conversation. Others we see often:
- Applying under the gate. SaaStock's membership starts at US$500K ARR and SaasRise, TinySeed's Institute and CEO Pavilion all start at US$1M or more. Check the number on the group's own page, not a list.
- Paying for a mastermind before you have a problem to bring. A peer group helps with churn or a pricing change. It can't tell you whether anyone wants the product.
- Treating a conference as a community. A two-day event gives you contacts. You still need a place to follow up, so pair one event with one ongoing group.
- Launching a landing page on Hacker News. Show HN is for something people can try. A waitlist page will be flagged or ignored.
- Asking for upvotes. Both Hacker News and Product Hunt say not to, and it burns goodwill with the people you want as users.
- Pitching in Slack groups. ProductLed says outright that it isn't a place for self-promotion. Answer questions where you know the answer and let people find your product from your profile.
- Ignoring time zones. If you're in Asia or Australia, US-hours masterminds mean very early or very late calls. Check when sessions run before you sign a 12-month commitment.
- Not planning the exit. If you might sell one day, peer groups are where you hear how deals really go. Our guide on how to sell a small SaaS covers valuations and where to list.
Questions people ask
- What is the best community for SaaS founders?
- It depends on your ARR, because most paid SaaS groups gate on it. Pre-revenue founders get more from free rooms such as SaaStr's free membership, SaaStock's local meetups and the ProductLed Slack. Past US$500K ARR, SaaStock's Founder Membership opens up, and past US$1M ARR you can apply to SaasRise or TinySeed's SaaS Institute.
- Is there a free community for SaaS founders?
- Yes. SaaStr's membership says it's free forever and runs free Workshop Wednesdays, SaaStock's local chapter events are free for SaaS founders, the ProductLed Slack is free, and Product-Led Alliance has a free Insider tier. Remote Builders, our own community, is free too.
- What ARR do you need to join SaaStock's founder membership?
- SaaStock's own page says its Founder Membership is for B2B SaaS founders with annual recurring revenue between US$500K and US$100M. It costs €1,499 a year from US$500K to US$1M ARR and €1,999 a year above US$1M, checked on 27 October 2026.
- Are there Slack or WhatsApp communities for SaaS founders?
- Yes. SaasRise runs a private Slack channel and WhatsApp group for founders at US$1M+ ARR, SaaStock's Founder Membership includes a private WhatsApp community, TinySeed's SaaS Institute has a private Slack, and ProductLed and RevGenius run free Slack communities. Remote Builders' members' chat is on Telegram.
- Can I promote my SaaS on Hacker News?
- Sometimes, within its rules. Hacker News says it's ok to post your own stuff part of the time, but not to use the site primarily for promotion. Show HN is for something people can try, not a landing page or sign-up page, and you mustn't ask friends to upvote or comment.
- Is a paid SaaS mastermind worth it?
- It's worth it once you have revenue and a specific problem, because the ARR gate puts you with founders at your stage. SaasRise costs US$197 a month with a two-week trial, while TinySeed's SaaS Institute asks for a 12-month commitment. Before revenue, a free community and a public launch usually teach you more for the money.
- Are there SaaS founder communities in Australia?
- Few SaaS-specific ones show up on official pages. SaaStock's local chapter list had no Australian city on 27 October 2026, and StartupAus's site didn't load for us. Remote Builders runs builder dinners in Bali and Australia, and TinySeed's SaaS Institute says members in Australia take part, with calls on US and European time.
