Founder communities in Barcelona: 12 compared (2026)

The right founder community in Barcelona is the one you'll go back to: a Saturday run along the port, a small SaaS founders' evening, a morning coffee in Poblenou or a desk at a startup hub. Below are 12 communities, each checked on its own pages on 28 October 2026, with what each costs, how to get in and when it next meets.

A note before you read on: this guide is published by Remote Builders, our own free community for founders who build companies remotely, which you can join online from Barcelona. It isn't in the table, because it doesn't meet in Barcelona. We've left out any number we couldn't find on a community's own page.

How to choose a founder community in Barcelona

Runs and weekly evenings

• Founders Running Club Barcelona runs on Saturday mornings from Fika Coffee Market on Passeig del Mare Nostrum, at your own pace or with a pacer, then coffee.
• Barcelona Entrepreneurs and Startups meets every Tuesday and Friday evening at ICON BCN, about five minutes' walk from Plaça de Catalunya. It's €7 including a drink, and side projects, ecommerce and startups all fit.

SaaS founders

Barcelona SaaS Founders Circle is for SaaS founders and cofounders, mainly B2B, and meets in English roughly every other week at La Textil Collective on Carrer de Casp. Each evening has 20 founder places, and it says it isn't a general startup mixer or a place to prospect for clients.

Coffees, breakfasts and pitch nights

• Founders & Coffee: a 90-minute morning meetup at Itnig Café in Poblenou for founders, future founders and people looking for a co-founder, with every application reviewed. Its third edition was on 14 October 2026.
• Itnig: a monthly Thursday tertulia in Spanish, where one startup pitches investors live; the latest was on 22 October 2026.
• Female Founders Breakfast Barcelona: morning breakfasts for women founders and solopreneurs in Les Corts.
• AI Growth Summit Barcelona: evening meetups for founders, operators and builders working with AI, most recently at Soho House Barcelona on 12 October 2026.

International founders

French Tech Barcelona is a volunteer-run network of French-speaking entrepreneurs in Barcelona, with afterworks, meetups and workshops; its site is in French.

Hubs, programmes and peer groups

Norrsken House Barcelona is a beachfront startup hub for impact and tech founders, with a members' club and community events; it hosted Impact/Week on 14 and 15 October 2026. Barcelona Activa's B-DeepTech programme supports early-stage deep tech founders with a first prototype. EO Barcelona runs monthly peer sessions, with an Accelerator for founders with €200,000 to €1 million in revenue at €2,500 a year. Tech Barcelona (formerly Barcelona Tech City) is a membership association with events and a tech campus.

These are 12 communities, all checked on 28 October 2026. Every row was active when we checked: an event, intake or post dated May 2026 or later, or open registration for an upcoming event. "Says" means the figure is the community's own claim.

Notes on the table

• Upcoming events. Barcelona SaaS Founders Circle meets on 3 November and Founders Running Club runs on 7 November. B-DeepTech's next batch starts in the first term of 2027, and AI Growth Summit's next Barcelona meetup is listed for 2 July 2027.
• Event data from Luma. Female Founders Breakfast's dates and €12 price, and EO Barcelona's September learning day, come from the event data in Luma's page code rather than the page text.
• Approval. Founders & Coffee reviews every application, Norrsken reviews membership applications weekly, and EO Barcelona's full membership needs €1 million or more in annual revenue.

Communities we checked and left out

We left out groups with no event since April 2026, groups with only one event, groups for the wider tech, nomad or coworking scene rather than founders, an investors-only network, programmes that run online or outside Barcelona, an ecommerce meetup whose own text pitches passive income, and a site curl couldn't read. We didn't find a health, climate, migrant or indie hacker founder group in Barcelona that met that bar; if you run one, tell us and we'll check it.

Barcelona's founders in numbers

ACCIÓ, the Catalan Government's business agency, counted 2,403 startups in Catalonia in 2025, 5.2% more than in 2024, in its February 2026 analysis of the startup ecosystem. Barcelona Activa says it has supported 248 startups and 8,547 entrepreneurs, citing its 2025 Corporate Report.

How to get value in your first month

1. Pick one weekly thing and one smaller format. A Saturday run or a Tuesday evening, plus a coffee or a SaaS circle.
2. Go to the same one three times. By the third, people know what you're building.
3. Bring one specific ask. "I need an intro to a founder who has hired their first employees in Spain" gets you somewhere.
4. Check the language first. Barcelona SaaS Founders Circle meets in English, Itnig's tertulias are in Spanish and French Tech is for French speakers.

Common mistakes

• Only going to big mixers. The small formats, like the SaaS circle or a morning coffee with rotation rounds, are where you get real help.
• Saying yes to everything. Pick two or three and go often.
• Treating it as a sales channel. Barcelona SaaS Founders Circle says it isn't a place to prospect for clients, and people notice when you do.
