The right community for a healthtech founder puts you in a room with clinicians, buyers and investors who understand how slow and regulated health can be, alongside founders a step ahead of you. Below are 11 communities, from global online groups to local meetups and hubs, each checked on its own pages on 28 October 2026.
A note before you read on: this guide is published by Remote Builders, our own free community for founders who build companies remotely, which you can join online from anywhere. It isn't in the table, because it isn't a healthtech community. We've left out any number we couldn't find on a community's own page.

Communities we checked and left out
We left out groups whose pages don't name founders as an audience, accelerators whose community is open only to their cohorts, annual conferences without a year-round community, and sites that blocked us or had no 2026 activity. We didn't find an African healthtech founder community that passed every check. If you run an active healthtech founder community, tell us and we'll check it.
Digital health in numbers
WHO reported on 23 May 2025 that 129 countries have national digital health strategies, and that the World Health Assembly extended the Global Strategy on Digital Health to 2027, with a new strategy for 2028 to 2033 to follow. Health systems are moving online country by country, which is why local communities with clinicians and buyers in the room matter.
How to get value in your first month
- Find the clinicians. Pick a group where clinicians and health buyers attend, not just founders.
- Go to the same meetup three times. By the third, people know what you're building.
- Bring one specific ask. "I need an intro to a hospital procurement lead in Ontario" gets you somewhere.
- Check the stage rules. AusBiotech Connect and Digital Health Canada's StartUp tier are time-limited.
- Add a broader founder group. Our comparison of communities for SaaS founders covers the B2B groups, and our guide for AI builders covers AI.
Common mistakes
- Joining founder-only rooms. Health sales need clinicians and buyers. Mix in groups that bring them.
- Treating health like consumer software. Procurement and regulation take time. Find founders on the same timeline.
- Skipping the local scene. Pilots usually start with a hospital or clinic near you.
- Waiting for the perfect group. If nothing fits your city, start one. Our guide to starting a founder meetup covers the first three events.
