The right founder community in Seoul is the one you'll go back to: a Saturday run in Jongno, a morning coffee club on Tehran-ro, a 6.30 am breakfast with the same few founders, or a programme built for foreign founders. Below are 14 communities, each checked on its own pages, with what each costs, how to get in and when it next meets.
A note before you read on: this guide is published by Remote Builders, our own free community for founders who build companies remotely, which you can join online from Seoul. It isn't in the table, because it doesn't meet in Seoul. We've left out any number we couldn't find on a community's own page.

Notes on the table
- Upcoming events. D.CAMP's d.day and The Bridge Circle meet on 29 October, Global Startup Center's Work & Share is on 30 October, Founders Running Club runs on 31 October and 7 November, Seoul AI Hub's results-sharing day is on 17 November, Global Startup Center's matching day is on 24 November and Antler's next cohort starts on 15 March 2027.
- Event dates from page code. Some dates come from the event data in Luma's page code rather than the page text; each profile says which.
- Korean-language pages. Startup Alliance, D.CAMP, Seoul AI Hub, Seoul Bio Hub and Founder Breakfast Club publish in Korean; we quote their pages in Korean on each profile and describe them in English here.
- Approval. Some Global Startup Center and Superteam Korea sessions need host approval, Open Ground and Founder Breakfast Club take requests to join, and D.CAMP, Antler and K-Startup Grand Challenge take applications.
Communities we checked and left out
We left out groups that now meet only online, a programme whose page still advertises a past intake, groups that were inactive or gone, sites we couldn't read, general networking and AI builder groups that aren't for founders, groups with only one event so far, and a coworking space that mainly sells desks. We didn't find a women founders' group or an indie hacker or bootstrapper group in Seoul with dated activity since May 2026; if you run one, tell us and we'll check it.
Seoul's founders in numbers
Startup Genome's 2026 Seoul page says South Korea's startup investment market reached $10.1 billion (currency not named) in 2025, that over 2,600 teams from 97 countries applied to Korea's flagship inbound startup programme, and that South Korea introduced the Korea Special Startup Visa to simplify entry for foreign entrepreneurs.
How to get value in your first month
- Pick one weekly thing and one monthly thing. A Saturday run, plus a Coffee Club morning or a Founder Friends evening.
- Go to the same one three times. By the third, people know what you're building.
- Bring one specific ask. "I need an intro to a founder who has set up a Korean corporation" gets you somewhere.
- Start in English if you need to. Open Ground's show and tell and Global Startup Center's matching day run in English, and Venture Park translates live.
- Add a broader group. Our East Asia guide covers Tokyo, Taipei and Hong Kong, and our comparison of communities for remote founders covers the online options.
Common mistakes
- Only going to big summits. The small formats, like a three-place breakfast cohort or a 25-person show and tell, are where you get real help.
- Saying yes to everything. Pick two or three and go often.
- Planning around an old date. Several of these groups post dates late, so check the listing the week before.
- Waiting for the perfect group. If nothing fits your niche, start one. Our guide to starting a founder meetup covers the first three events.
