Key takeaways

  • Free options include Startup Grind Miami's recent happy hours, Miami Fintech Club's coworking days at Mana Tech and AI Salon Miami's free Pioneer Pass (checked 28 Oct 2026).
  • Breakfasts suit founders who'd rather start early: Miami Made runs a monthly founder breakfast at Miami Ironside, and Entreprenista Miami runs breakfasts for women business owners in Edgewater.
  • LaFamilia Foundation, a nonprofit, keeps its gatherings small for Latine founders and investors, with a Coral Gables evening on 12 November 2026.
  • Mana Tech in Downtown Miami is a hub for international and Latin American founders, and hosts Founders Rise Miami, Miami Fintech Club and AI Salon Miami.
  • Startup Genome's 2026 Miami page puts the ecosystem's value at $48 billion (currency not named) for H2 2023 to 2025.

The right founder community in Miami is the one you'll go back to: a Saturday run in Brickell, a monthly founder breakfast, a small rooftop evening or a coworking day at a founder hub. Below are 12 communities, each checked on its own pages, with what each costs, how to get in and when it next meets.

A note before you read on: this guide is published by Remote Builders, our own free community for founders who build companies remotely, which you can join online from Miami. It isn't in the table, because it doesn't meet in Miami. We've left out any number we couldn't find on a community's own page.

Hubs and selective networks

The LAB Miami is a members' campus in Wynwood with meetups and hack nights, and DOCK membership from $250 a month (currency not named). Founder communities in Miami compared

These are 12 communities. We checked the 11 new rows on 28 October 2026 and The LAB Miami on the same day for our US and Canada guide. Every row was active when we checked: an event, intake or post dated May 2026 or later, or open registration for an upcoming event. "Says" means the figure is the community's own claim.

Notes on the table

  • Upcoming events. Entreprenista's breakfast is on 29 October, Founders Running Club runs on 31 October, Endeavor's selection panel is on 2 and 3 November, Miami Made meets on 3 November, Mana Tech's events are on 6 and 10 November, LaFamilia and Miami Fintech Club meet on 12 November and Founders Rise's pitching workshop is on 17 November.
  • Event dates from page code. Many dates in this guide come from the event data in Luma's or Eventbrite's page code rather than the page text; each profile says which.
  • Approval. LaFamilia, Entreprenista, Miami Fintech Club and AI Salon need host approval, and Endeavor is by nomination or application.

Communities we checked and left out

We left out groups for the wider tech or health scene rather than founders, sites that are gone or couldn't be read (including Venture Café Miami's and eMerge Americas'), a vendor's promotion, groups with no event since April 2026, one-off dinners and events, a group that meets online, a college programme, and two newer groups with only one or two events so far. We didn't find a Black founders, hardware, SaaS, bootstrapper or Spanish-language founder group in Miami with dated activity since May 2026; if you run one, tell us and we'll check it.

Miami's founders in numbers

Startup Genome's Global Startup Ecosystem Report 2026 puts Miami's ecosystem value at $48 billion and its Seed and Series A funding at $2.4 billion for H2 2023 to 2025 (currency not named for either). The Miami-Dade Beacon Council reported in January 2026 that more than 100 companies worked with it in 2025 to expand or relocate to Greater Miami, committing to 3,070 new jobs.

How to get value in your first month

  1. Pick one weekly thing and one monthly thing. A Saturday run, plus a breakfast or a small evening.
  2. Go to the same one three times. By the third, people know what you're building.
  3. Bring one specific ask. "I need an intro to a founder who has sold into Latin America from Miami" gets you somewhere.
  4. Try a free coworking day. Miami Fintech Club's days at Mana Tech come with breakfast.
  5. Add a broader group. Our US and Canada guide covers other cities, our Latin America guide covers the region, and our comparison of communities for remote founders covers the online options.

Common mistakes

  • Only going to big conferences. The small formats, like LaFamilia's evenings or a 35-person breakfast, are where you get real help.
  • Saying yes to everything. Pick two or three and go often.
  • Planning around an old date. Several of these groups post dates late, so check the listing the week before.
  • Waiting for the perfect group. If nothing fits your niche, start one. Our guide to starting a founder meetup covers the first three events.
