Ecommerce communities for Shopify, Amazon and DTC founders: 11 compared (2026)

Ecommerce communities compared: price, entry rule, format and call times for 11 options, from free seller forums to US$8,997-a-year masterminds.

Updated . By the Remote Builders team. Every figure links to its source.

Key takeaways

  • eCommerceFuel charges US$199 a month, or US$299 for its 8-Figure+ tier, after a US$1 first month, and asks applicants to own at least 25% of a seven-figure ecommerce business with at least US$1 million in revenue from outside Amazon, or US$5 million if they sell only on Amazon (checked 26 Oct 2026).
  • Million Dollar Sellers costs US$8,997 a year or US$2,495 a quarter and asks for at least US$1 million in trailing 12-month revenue, and its own homepage gives its size as both 700+ and 750+ members (checked 26 Oct 2026).
  • The free forums run by the platforms themselves are active: Shopify Community had new posts on 26 October 2026, and Amazon's Seller Forums let anyone read but only sellers with a Seller Central account post.
  • Titan Network doesn't publish prices for its Omni or Elite memberships, while its beginner Genesis programme is US$997 to start and then US$97 a month with a 12-month minimum (checked 26 Oct 2026).
  • Live calls in paid ecommerce groups are usually set in US time: eCommerceFuel's small-group calls in late October 2026 were listed at 3pm EDT, which is 3am the next day in Bali and 6am in Sydney.
  • The Hive Index lists 92 ecommerce communities, 52 free and 40 paid or application-based, which makes it a starting list rather than a ranking of quality.

The best ecommerce community for you depends mostly on your revenue. Under seven figures, the free forums run by Shopify, Amazon, Etsy and Klaviyo answer most day-to-day questions at no cost. Once you pass US$1 million a year, vetted groups such as eCommerceFuel and Million Dollar Sellers put you in a room of owners at your stage, for US$199 a month to US$8,997 a year. Below is a table of 11 active options, each checked on its own page on 26 October 2026, then how to pick one and the mistakes to avoid.

A note before you read on: this guide is published by Remote Builders, which is one of the communities in the table. We've described it with the same kind of facts we used for everyone else, and we've left out any number we couldn't find on a community's own page today.

Why most "best ecommerce communities" lists don't help

Most lists you'll find are written by a community that's selling a membership, so they rank themselves and quote rivals from memory. Titan Network's own best Amazon seller communities article, dated 22 January 2026, puts its own network in a section of its own and says Million Dollar Sellers "runs $5K+ annually". The Million Dollar Sellers homepage says US$8,997 a year. The same article says eCommerceFuel gates entry at US$1 million in annual revenue, but eCommerceFuel's apply page says Amazon-only businesses need US$5 million, which matters a lot if you're an FBA seller.

Member counts are messy too. The MDS homepage gives "700+ vetted members" in one section and "750+ members" in another. Neither is wrong as such, but it's a reminder to treat every count as the community's own claim on the day you read it.

So this guide sticks to what each community says on its own page: price, entry rule, format and, where it's stated, the time zone of its live calls.

These are 11 communities we confirmed as active on 26 October 2026. Prices are written as US$ where a US site shows dollar prices. "Not published" means we looked and the page doesn't give one.

A few notes the table can't hold:

  • Remote Builders is our own community and isn't ecommerce-specific. It suits store owners who live abroad and want founders in other industries around them. Members get builder dinners in Bali and Australia, city chapters where a member hosts, and a member directory with profile pages. The members' chat runs in the Bali Startup & Tech Telegram group, open to members anywhere.
  • eCommerceFuel says it has 1,000+ vetted owners and 50,000+ archived discussions over 13 years. It keeps out vendors and anyone selling services, software or courses to store owners. Its guarantee is "10x ROI on your membership in the first year, or a full refund plus $1,000". A business partner can join at no extra cost.
  • Million Dollar Sellers has separate tracks: Amazon-led brands need US$1 million in Amazon revenue, and DTC, omnichannel and TikTok brands need US$1 million in website revenue. Agencies need US$10 million or more in revenue under management across three or more brands. It offers a 60-day full refund, and its next summit is in Cancun, 29 August to 1 September 2027, for members only.
  • Titan Network says it has 700+ brand owners on its Omni page and doesn't list a price there. Genesis is a paid start-a-brand programme, which its page calls "not a course". Its page also lists outside costs: US$5,000 to US$10,000 in inventory around month six and about US$2,500 for first ads.
  • Shopify Community had new posts on 26 October 2026 and runs AMA sessions, such as one on BFCM promotion planning on 18 September 2026. Its guidelines prohibit unsolicited promotional private messages.
  • Amazon Seller Forums guidelines ban links to outside websites, commercial posts and sharing contact details. Temporary suspensions run from 1 to 30 days.
  • Etsy Community Hub carried Etsy announcements dated within the past week when we checked, including EU customs changes from 1 November 2026.
  • Klaviyo Community shows 47,388 members and 15,350 topics on its homepage. It held its first Community Town Hall on 22 October 2026.
  • WooCommerce says its Slack has 25,000+ WooCommerce developers, so it leans technical. It's most useful if you build or maintain your own Woo store.

Communities we checked and left out

We left out communities whose own page we couldn't load, that weren't clearly open today, or that turned out to be something else.

  • r/ecommerce, r/shopify and r/FulfillmentByAmazon are busy, free Reddit forums, but Reddit blocked our page checks today, so we couldn't confirm their rules or sizes.
  • DTC Newsletter: its address now leads to directtoconsumer.co, a daily newsletter and podcast that says it has 155,000+ readers. We found no paid community on that page, so it isn't in the table. It's still a good free read for DTC marketers.
  • 2X eCommerce: 2xecommerce.com now redirects to a retention consultancy's site with no community on it.
  • Operators Guild: operatorsguild.com showed a "Coming Soon" page.
  • EcomCrew Mastermind: its page lists only spring and summer 2025 dates.
  • DTC Fam, eCommTalk and Modaverse appear in directories, but we couldn't load a site of their own (or the domain didn't resolve), so we couldn't check them.
  • Helium 10 Elite blocked our page check, so we couldn't confirm its price or format.

If you want more options, The Hive Index lists 92 ecommerce communities, 52 free and 40 paid or application-based. It's a useful starting list, but check each community's own page before you join.

How to pick an ecommerce community

Pick on four things in this order: your revenue, your sales channel, the format you'll actually use, and when the live parts happen in your time zone. Price comes last, because the revenue gate usually decides for you.

Revenue decides which rooms will have you

Most paid ecommerce groups gate on revenue, and the line sits at about US$1 million. eCommerceFuel asks you to own at least 25% of a seven-figure store. Million Dollar Sellers asks for US$1 million in trailing 12-month revenue and a founder or CEO with budget authority. Titan's Omni and Elite tiers say they're for 7- and 8-figure founders.

Below that line, the free platform forums are where the answers are. Shopify Community's Start a Business board alone had over 5,000 topics when we checked, and the Technical Q&A and Store Design boards have tens of thousands each.

Your channel matters more than you'd think

Amazon sellers and DTC brands have different problems, and some communities are built around one or the other. eCommerceFuel leans away from Amazon-only businesses: you need US$1 million from outside Amazon, or US$5 million if Amazon is all you sell. Million Dollar Sellers runs a separate Amazon-led track. If you're on Shopify, Shopify Community and the Klaviyo Community cover most store and email questions. If you sell on Etsy or eBay, their own forums carry the policy announcements you'll need to act on.

Format: forum, chat, small group or event

Pick the format you'll open on a normal working day.

  • Forums, such as Shopify Community and Amazon Seller Forums, are slow, searchable and good for specific problems.
  • Chat groups on Slack, WhatsApp or Telegram are fast and social, but answers scroll away.
  • Small groups meet on a schedule. MDS runs squads of 6 to 8 that meet monthly with a moderator; eCommerceFuel runs topic small groups, such as one for subscription businesses.
  • Events and dinners build the strongest relationships, but they depend on where you are.

If you want a Slack or Discord group specifically, there are plenty. WooCommerce runs its own community Slack, Million Dollar Sellers runs WhatsApp channels for members, and The Hive Index shows which platform each of its 92 listed ecommerce communities uses. Many of the Discord servers it lists are paid, so check the community's own page for price and recent activity first.

Time zones, if you live outside the US

Most paid ecommerce groups run on US time. eCommerceFuel's events calendar listed three calls for 27 to 29 October 2026, at 1pm and 3pm EDT. A 3pm EDT call is 7pm in London, 3am the next morning in Bali and 6am the next morning in Sydney. MDS says its weekly tactics calls are recorded, but doesn't give a time. If you're in Asia or Australia, favour written forums and recorded calls, and build your live connections locally.

For in-person contact in Bali, Bali Startup & Tech lists a free networking drinks and dinner in Canggu on 12 November 2026, and How I AI Season 2 starts on 4 November 2026.

Then look at price

Once you know which rooms fit, compare the yearly cost. eCommerceFuel at US$199 a month is about US$2,388 a year, and the 8-Figure+ tier at US$299 a month is about US$3,588. Million Dollar Sellers is US$8,997 a year, or US$2,495 a quarter, which works out at US$9,980 over four quarters. Titan doesn't publish Omni or Elite prices, so you'll find out on a call.

Communities versus programmes that sell you a business model

Some ecommerce groups are communities of operators, and some are paid programmes that teach you to start a business. Both can be fine, but know which one you're buying.

A peer community gates on revenue you already have and sells access to people. eCommerceFuel and MDS work this way: you need US$1 million to get in, and the value is the other members.

A start-up programme takes beginners and sells a method, coaching and tools. Titan Genesis is open to people with no ecommerce or Amazon experience and costs US$997 to start, then US$97 a month for at least 12 months. Its page also says you'll need US$5,000 to US$10,000 for inventory and about US$2,500 for first ads. That's honest disclosure, and it's worth adding up before you apply: the programme fee is the smaller part of the cost.

Before you pay for any programme, try the free forums for a month. You'll learn whether your product idea survives contact with real sellers' questions, at no cost.

When a paid ecommerce mastermind is worth it

A paid mastermind is worth it when you have revenue, a specific next problem, and the time to show up. It's not worth it when the main gate is the price, or when you won't make the calls.

Signs it'll pay off:

  • You're past the revenue gate and your problems are now hiring, cash flow, 3PLs or exit planning, which free forums answer badly.
  • You'll use the archive. eCommerceFuel says it has 15,000 member-written reviews of software, agencies and vendors, which can save you from a bad hire or tool.
  • The group has a refund window you can use. eCommerceFuel's first month is US$1, and MDS offers a 60-day full refund.

Signs it won't:

  • You're pre-revenue or early, and a free forum would answer your questions.
  • Live calls land at 3am for you and you won't watch the recordings.
  • You're hoping members will become customers. Vetted groups keep vendors out on purpose, and pitching burns trust fast. For customer-finding that works, see getting your first customers without ads.

Common mistakes

The most common mistake is joining on a ranking written by a community that's selling its own membership. Others we see often:

  • Trusting second-hand prices. A rival's article said MDS "runs $5K+ annually"; MDS's own page says US$8,997 a year. Always check the community's own pricing page on the day.
  • Ignoring the channel rule. Amazon-only sellers often apply to eCommerceFuel without seeing the US$5 million line for Amazon-only businesses.
  • Counting only the fee. A start-up programme's real cost includes inventory and ads. Titan Genesis lists up to US$10,000 in inventory plus about US$2,500 in ads on top of the fee.
  • Skipping the free official forums. Shopify, Amazon, Etsy, eBay and Klaviyo all run their own. They're where policy changes get announced and where staff sometimes reply.
  • Breaking forum rules on day one. Amazon's forums ban outside links, and Shopify's ban unsolicited promotional messages. A new account that pitches gets suspended or ignored.
  • Joining for the member count. Big numbers don't mean people at your stage. A 6 to 8 person squad of peers can beat a 50,000-person forum for hard decisions.
  • Forgetting time zones. If you live in Asia or Australia, check when live calls happen before you pay. A group you can only join at 3am will quietly stop being useful.
  • Never reviewing. Check after 30 days whether the community has solved a real problem for you. If it hasn't, leave or switch formats.

Selling across borders raises its own questions about payments and tax; our guides on merchant of record vs Stripe and what to do when Stripe isn't available in your country cover them. And if you're building a remote team to run fulfilment or support, see hiring remote employees internationally.

Questions people ask

What is the best community for ecommerce founders?
It depends on your revenue. Under seven figures, the free platform forums (Shopify Community, Amazon Seller Forums, Etsy Community Hub) and the Klaviyo Community answer most day-to-day questions. Past US$1 million a year, vetted groups such as eCommerceFuel (US$199 a month) and Million Dollar Sellers (US$8,997 a year) put you with owners at a similar stage.
Is there a free Amazon FBA seller community?
Yes. Amazon's own Seller Forums are free to read for anyone, and sellers with a Seller Central account can post. The rules ban links to outside websites and commercial posts, and suspensions run from 1 to 30 days. Reddit's r/FulfillmentByAmazon is another free forum, though we couldn't load its rules to check them.
How much does an ecommerce mastermind cost?
Prices checked on 26 October 2026 run from US$199 a month at eCommerceFuel to US$8,997 a year at Million Dollar Sellers. Titan Network doesn't publish prices for its Omni and Elite memberships. Most also gate on revenue, so the price isn't the only thing that decides whether you can join.
What revenue do you need to join Million Dollar Sellers?
Million Dollar Sellers asks for at least US$1 million in trailing 12-month revenue, and you need to be the founder or CEO with budget authority. Amazon-led brands need US$1 million in Amazon revenue, and DTC, omnichannel and TikTok brands need US$1 million in website revenue. Agencies need US$10 million or more in revenue under management across three or more brands.
Are there ecommerce Slack or Discord communities?
Yes, plenty. WooCommerce runs a community Slack that it says has 25,000+ WooCommerce developers, and Million Dollar Sellers runs WhatsApp channels for members. The Hive Index lists 92 ecommerce communities with the platform each one uses, many of them on Slack or Discord. Check each one's own page for rules and recent activity before you join, because directory listings go stale.
Is eCommerceFuel open to Amazon sellers?
Only larger ones. eCommerceFuel asks for at least US$1 million in revenue from outside Amazon, and a business that sells only on Amazon needs US$5 million. Amazon-first sellers under that line will get more from Million Dollar Sellers, which has an Amazon-led track at US$1 million, or from Amazon's free Seller Forums.
Which ecommerce communities work for founders living outside the US?
Online forums such as Shopify Community, Amazon Seller Forums and the Klaviyo Community work in any time zone because they're written, not live. Paid groups usually set live calls in US time: eCommerceFuel's late-October calls were at 3pm EDT, which is 3am in Bali. Pick a group with recorded calls, or one with in-person meetups where you live.
